Softball is a very fun and interesting sport. The purpose of the sport is to score more points then the other team,just like football ,basketball, and many other sports.

Baseball is similar to softball but they are not exactly the same, such as: when you can steal and the way you pitch.

There are nine players that play on the field. There are different positions such as: a catcher,pitcher,first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, third baseman, left fielder,right fielder,and a center fielder.

The pitcher pitches the ball so that the batter can attempt to or hit the ball so that she can get on base and possibly score. But the pitcher really don't want the batter to hit the ball so she spitches different types of pitches to try to strike the batter out.

When the batter hits the ball it is possible that she may get a single, double,triple, or even a home run.

The team in the field has to get three outs so that they can bat, and this will go on for seven inngs.
